Britney or Healthcare? Thankfully I didn't have to choose

Bouncy alert!!!  :-)

Quote
Kiel’s goal is to sign up new members with Working America. When they sign up (at no cost, or for whatever they want to chip in), people who don’t have the benefit of a union on the job get a voice in a growing community of workers who increasingly have a major say in changing the political direction of the nation. Sometimes, as Kiel says, it comes down to this: Britney Spears or health care.

I spoke with a man who was hesitant to join, but invited me in to further inquire about our organization. While talking, the news on the television behind me was reporting Britney Spears was able to gather thousands of names in support of her in her child custody battle. After commenting on how absurd it was that millions of people could get behind Ms. Spears but we still don’t have enough organization in this country to have universal health care. Just then he grabbed the clipboard and became part of the solution as a member of Working America.

Just had a knock on the door. Young guy about 25 wanting to sign us up to join Working America which is part of the AFL-CIO. (I googled the info above) He started his spiel and handed the clipboard to Mr. Belle, I happened to make it to the front door right about then so I peeked at the info and and cut the little pissant off before he could finish.  :-)

He was telling Mr. Belle that "47 million people are without healthcare and good jobs are leaving America everyday. Don't you want people to have good healthcare and good jobs?" Now, Mr. Belle is a kind soul who wouldn't be so rude as to interrupt someone while talking. Especially when that someone is obviously trying to 1) make a difference by groveling for charities 2) just trying to earn a living. Besides, his mother raised him right and he's a gentleman until you give him a reason not be gentlemanly.

I on the other hand....... :lmao:

I told him, "No, we're not interested". And he took the clipboard out of Mr. Belle's hand without saying a word, put it in his bag and then said, "Well, that's settled because the boss has spoken."

Mr. Belle just smiled and told him to have a good evening and to careful. I'm sure he'll tell all of his other little progressive pissants roaming the neighhborhood about the little harpy who lives in condo #4 who reined in her hubby.  :evillaugh:
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Expect this to show up at the DUmp where he explains how he converted another Rethug.   :whatever:
