I say take away Obama's $100 a pound steak parties and have them all buy their own happy meals down at McD's.

It's ALWAYS the military folks that take it in the shorts before anybody else. Cut off foreign aid ?? Nope can't do that!! Elect NOT to take a vacation on the taxpayer's dime to the tune of $2 BILLION ?? Nope, can't do that!! Congress take a PAY CUT ?!?!?!?!? Ohhh, HELL NO!! The military should be the very LAST to get a pay freeze. Hell, even cut out some military "project" that hasn't come to fruition yet.....

I dug up the budget for 2009 and the federal government spent nearly as much money on pensions and benefits as they did military service. 

I didn't bookmark it but it shouldn't be difficult to find.
