Why always cuts? Why can't the gov generate revenue?

The post below about off-shored employees not contributing to US economy. Why can't they be taxed to work for corporations based in the US?

So someone who is not in the US should be taxed by the US to work in the US.

And exactly how is that supposed to happen?

And should foreign nations tax US citizens to force them to work in their nation?

 :thatsright:

A lot of "hellyeahz!" follow.

And just to make sure a solid non-sequitor is piled on top of the immovable absurdity there is this:

Illinois has found a way to solve it's budget problems. It's going to tax all the actors living in Hollywood. :sarcasm:

A fund raiser? Call it anything you like- republicans do. As long as selfish people think they have a chance of getting something for nothing, they'll take a chance.

Completely voluntary, just like the NY state lottery, which I call the "stupid tax."  I fully support this.  How many DUmmies will be lined up, handing over their money for sucker odds?  They do it every day at the convenience stores now.   I keep my money, they give theirs up.

And we call those people liberals, progressives, and democratics.

See I was even nice I didn't say democrats I said democratics.

 :-)
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

They'll buy lottery tickets but don't you dare mention investing any of their SS money in the stock market.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
