It's nice to see Skins's island slowly getting back to normal; there's not as many campfires as there had been, about that television celebrity who got fired.....but the sparkling husband primitive's as busy as ever.

I support Nancy Pelosi for Leader
I am still angry with her about not going after bush. But I am also a pragmatist. She's a good leader who got a lot done in spite of a lot of obstructionist conservadems in her caucus. In the last two years, she is far and away the most liberal of our party's leadership - and the most effective.
I support her for Leader and want her back again as Speaker, too.

3. Steny Hoyer is gunning for her. He is much more conservative.
Pelosi wants to move left and I think she will have fewer backstabbers and more progressives to deal with.
EJ Dionne has a great interview with her that sort of outlines her way of thinking.
Plus it will be a big F-U to the Republicants who hate her.
It'll be a big F-U-N all right, for us.

5. Steny Hoyer is a Maryland democrat Democrat
Maryland really has no repubican party, our repubican governors notwithstanding. What we have are some pretty conservative Dems who, in years gone by, would have been Rockefeller Republicans.
Hoyer is one of them.

7. Wish I could second that, but I can't
I don't think she's much of a leader at all, and I'm unwilling to forgive her for Bush and/or the Bankster bailout, among many other things. She's been a very poor leader, in my opinion.

21. She's undoubtedly the Top Gun of the Democratic Party ...
with a couple of timely resigations she would be President.
Who would have to resign?
Guess.

28. If she is 'top gun' then the Democratic party is in a whole heap of trouble, in my opinion.

29. **** Pelosi. If that's the best we can do, god help us.
She was NOT a good leader. What the **** are you smoking?
On edit. You have been too triangulated .

35. Wow, you're a pleasant chap
That's an effective argument you made.
Over the past two years, you can thank HER for whatever got done.
She's a skilled vote counter.
She managed to herd cats of vastly different breeds and get shit done.
She's a liberal.
Her only personal lack is an ability to sound tough when she speaks. But that may also be an asset as she cuts your nuts off.

30. I wish Cindy Sheehan had defeated her in 2008.
We might have actually seen an end to these bullshit wars by now, that Congress keeps funding.
You know, I'm starting to wonder if maybe Karl Rove has the sparkling husband primitive on the payroll.
