Republicans Struggle To Say How They Would Pay For Tax Cuts

The video is lower down on the page linked.

On Sunday's morning public affairs shows, both Republican Senate candidates Carly Fiorina in California and Ken Buck in Colorado struggled to give specifics about how they would reduce the deficit while also supporting expensive extensions of the Bush tax cuts. Although journalists ask Republicans this question almost without fail in debates and interviews, candidates and lawmakers still consistently stumble over it.

The answer is easy stop spending like crazy. It's not rocket science. If the govt is broke don't start up a bunch of new hand out programs.

The real worry we have is not a single democrat can explain how to create jobs.
We always get some bullshit answer that more govt intervention will produce jobs.
Short of mandating that companies hire what can the govt do?

1. That's because the Republicans have nothing....    Updated at 1:47 PM

except hollow phrases like:"I'm for "Limited" government". "Stop the spending." "Cut Taxes."
"Cut regulation." I'm gonna throw up.

And 'hope and Change" aren't hollow phrases?
Come on if the dems really have done so much to make things better then why aren't they running on their accomplishments? And I aint buying that crap that it's too hard to explain. Hell if my boss said "I will give you a raise if you can tell me what you have accomplished". I would probably get a pay cut if I said I can't explain all my accomplishments but, they are stellar.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Yes, they are! Hope and change. Not the hope we were "hoping" for and not the "change" we were rooting for as well. The EXTREME opposite, as a matter of fact.

In the first place, you don't have to "pay" for tax cuts, they "pay" for themselves.

Show me at any time when taxes were cut that the FEDGOV actually received LESS money.  Never happened, never will.

The reason deficits went up is because spending outpaced revenue, not because of lower revenue due to a tax cut.

Murphy's 3rd Law:  "You can't make anything 'idiot DUmmie proof'.  The world will just create a better idiot DUmmie."

Liberals are like Slinkys.  Basically useless, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Global warming supporters believe that a few hundred million tons of CO2 has more control over our climate than a million mile in diameter, unshielded thermo-nuclear fusion reactor at the middle of the solar system.

You can't fix stupid, but you can vote it out of office.
