Has anyone heard from Cali?

I realized today that I haven't seen any posts from Cali in a while. I checked and the last post I can easily find is from 7/19/10. She wasn't banned. Anyone know what's up?

Many primitives get into hissy fits about the "rec/unrec" feature; as it's a very large campfire, I didn't put those comments into the boat to drag them over--there's way too many of them.

Also, the "Name removed" primitive proliferates at this campfire.

44. You are a consistently unpleasant poster.

And from someone who is a complete asshole that's saying something.

23. Aren't Heirarchies wonderful?

I have a question (raises hand) Oh! Oh !

So exactly how much does someone's life have to suck in order for them to take solace in being a high count poster on some Internet forum?

50. I'm beginning to suspect someone wrote an automated unrec script.

That you, BadCat, sir, who did that?

While sitting in your mother's basement?

4. I was wondering the same recently. Nobody seems to know.

It's unusual for a poster who has 65,000 posts here to just stop posting without any warning - hope she's OK.

15. I have been wondering as well...

Sent her a PM a couple of weeks ago just in case she was lurking.

I thought she was growing increasingly frustrated with us... I don't blame her.

16. She was too regular to quit.

And there was no sign of her going out in a blaze of glory. It's pretty uncommon for someone with 62K in 6 years to quit.

32. She's taken time off before...

But not this long.

I hope she's ok. We don't always agree, but I have always respected her POV. She's very intelligent, and she has awesome critical thinking skills.

Had noticed she wasn't posting. Miss reading her thoughts and well reasoned arguments. Hope we all hear from her soon.

18. She appeared in person at our Labor Day Bay Area meetup at proud patriot's in the East Bay. She did mention she didn't post all that much anymore.

The primitives wiggle-waggle their armpits at each other, scowling and cursing, after which this:

65. Hi everyone,

Cali's not in this thread to answer questions or to defend herself, so we're going to lock this.

Just wanted to add that many members take time away from DU every now and then for a variety of personal reasons.

It's nice that so many cared enough to ask.

Have a good evening.

Thanks for understanding.
