What is with Fox news???
« on: August 29, 2010, 06:10:46 AM »
Hi,

Had some kind words about our report on the Beck rally.  What the common thread was just how poorly it was covered.  When we turn on Fox News we see stuff about Katrina and less than a 60 second bit about the rally with Sharpton getting as much play or more than what happened on the mall.

We look to Fox news for the truth and that seems to me to be the most disappointing part of the entire deal.  It was a really big deal yesterday.  Had it been put on by blacks, gays, or any other "victim" group and it would have had wall to wall coverage.

November cannot get here fast enough.

End of rant!

Have a great day,

CNN covered it more than Fox News did.

Sounds to me like FNC is cowing to the pressure from the left that they're just a right-wing mouthpiece.  By NOT covering it, they can then claim, "See, we're not--really!"

I think thats what it is - they didn't want to be accused (again) of bias by paying too much attention to one of their own..

Granted, that hasn't changed a thing, the left are still calling this a Beck/Fox News production...

I think that was only a  part of it.  Glenn beck has close ties with FNC, so any extended news coverage would have seemed like an informercial for it.  However, I am hoping that Beck does some coverage on his show Monday.

Hi,

I found myself screaming at the TV today when I watched the Chris Wallace interview with Beck.  Basically Wallace said that the MLK mission was economic equality and that it has not yet been achieved....and he actually showed some MLK quotes.

What galled me was this.  If they have not achieved economic equality, then why?  The opportunity has been provided for them and all folks.  To me the reason the MLK goals have not been achieved is because of the black leadership who have encouraged them to be on the dole.

As I told a friend, I believe in economic redistribution as long as it is in direct proportion to the same redistribution of work.  That ain't good enough.  The black leadership wants it for nothing.  That is not life.  I know many, many wealthy people and not one of them got that way working 40 hours a week, life just does not work that way.  They earned it by working their tails off which seems to be missing from the messages of Jesse, Al, Jerimaih, and friends.

regards,

I seem to have read somewhere that is the reason for not a lot of coverage, they didn't want the lefties screaming bias.

I get FOX news here in Canada but have to subscribe to it, whereas CNN and MSNBC are part of the basic package, no bias there  :)

Not only has the opportunity been provided, but it has even been skewed in their favor and they STILL refuse success (on the whole).

Ahh. My sympathies.  I've considered moving to BC off and on, but I'd probably be the only conservative in the province.

The riding I'm in happens to be conservative at the moment, I usually help on his campaign.
