Notes from the trenches: Dems are VERY busy this season.

As some of you know, I work for a political ad agency (Dems/Progs only; others need not apply). We are freakin' SWAMPED. Working 14-16 hour days on major races from sea to oil-covered sea. And you know what? Things "inside" aren't what they're telling you on the news. Most clients are asking for "DEMOCRAT" to be prominent in their ads. They want pics with Obama. We're polling strong, despite what Joe Scab, Chuck Goatee and Gallop spew every morning. The point being, if you're down and out and thinking we're going to get hammered in November, it's because you're listening to too much GOP-owned corporate media. Lots of good stuff is happening, lots of good movement. It's not anywhere close to the dire scenario being promulgated by those in the media who have everything to gain if the Democrats lose.

Don't give up. Now is the time to hunker down and fight -- don't let the bastards change the narrative. America is NOT wanting a return to Bush policies, no matter what the giant conglomo-media tells you. But the key is -- we need to turn out and vote! If we give up and stay home, we hand it to Boner, Newt, Cantor and the same neo-con robber barons who sunk us in the first place.

Have a great weekend...I'll be working, probably for a candidate in your district!

Oh my again.

A few primitives dropped by this campfire--not many, but a few--to congratulate Pedro Picasso.

Pedro Picasso, "Listen to me, we have not yet begun to poop."
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I have lived long enough to recognize things like that as not being what the person believes and knows.

"GOP owned corporate media"
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

WTF?

Yeah, Pedro Picasso's the staff "artist" for a mass-mailing company.

When he was first hired and they found out he hung around Skins's island, they rather strongly, uh, suggested that Pedro Picasso tone down his stupidity, as customers might find out.

Since then, Pedro Picasso's toned down, but not his stupidity.  Just doesn't rant like he used to.

But the rampant stupidity's still there, and I kindly refer everyone to our esteemed colleague Carl's comment above; what Carl says is absolutely correct.

What was talking about was he said that his "political ad agency" employer only takes Dem/prog clients then said that MOST clients request the their ad has Democrat on it.  You would think if the company is Dem/Prog ONLY that all of their clients would want Democrat on their ads.

I did a "search," looking for Pedro Picasso's "I got a job" campfire, but I'm not finding it.

In it, he frankly admitted he was asked to be wary about what he said on Skins's island, lest his stupidity ricochet back from customers of this mass-mailing firm.

Pedro Picasso does in fact work there--he's on their web-site--and they cater only to Democrats and regressives.

One wonders how his co-workers can stand to be around him; besides his pompous obnoxious personality, the guy's got trimenthylamunia, a body odor reeking of dead fish.

I'd LOVE to send him to the trenches, but it'd require a time machine.  Preferably Ypres or the Somme.
