MRS. ALFRED PACKER
Original message

Forgive me foodies, for I have sinned. LOL

I know I always preach the evils of processed foods, but last night I made burritos the way I used to make them long ago. It's just a taste I have to have every great once in a while. It wasn't all processed but it certainly was good.

I browned a pound of ground buffalo with salt, pepper, and garlic. Stirred in a half can of refried beans, they were Amy's Organic Black Beans, and added about a 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Pace medium salsa. This is my favorite burrito filling. And I made a pouch of Knorr's Fiesta Sides Spanish Rice with a few shots of Frank's Red Hot. Usually I make long cooking rice and just stir in some salsa but I do like the taste of this once in a while.

Everything else that went into the burritos were fresh (onions, tomatoes, lettuce, yogurt for sour cream)except the sliced black olives and the shredded sharp cheddar, and I made some homemade fresh guac. We're having the leftovers tonight.

Yeah, that's another thing Mrs. Alfred Packer always preaches, in addition to her racist sinophobia, her bigotry about Celestials.

1. Oh my, if that's a sin, I'm certainly going to hell

When I cook like that, I consider it homemade!

2. I'm sure you are forgiven....

But you do know that those Knorr Rice Mixes are the slippery slope to Sandra Lee town.

4. Oh, please, it's not like everybody who posts here doesn't crack once in a while and eat Kraft Dinner right out of the pot, all of it, in one sitting.

Our bodies are built to handle dreck if we don't eat it every single day.

I eat processed foods full of preservatives....I figure if it keeps the goods fresh, it'll keep me fresh(alive).

Botulism anyone?
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
