In 1977 I was stationed at Ft. Devens, Masshole, and through a friend of mine, would occasionally be an extra on a Boston TV program called "Club [insert a number here - I forget which)". My job was to sit at a bar in a "club" setup in a TV studio, drink wine and nibble on cheese. While I was doing that, there would be several interviewers with cameras and mikes that would circle around this "Club" and interview local personalities who were playing cards or throwing darts, or whatever.

On several occasions, Bawney Fwank would come in and be interviewed. At the time he was a local politician and I don't believe he'd come out of the closet at that time.

Little did I know at that time that Bawney would become the scourge that is now.
