arbusto_baboso (1000+ posts) Thu Jul-29-10 04:50 PMOriginal messageI figured out the apeal of the teabag movement, the religious right, and conspiracy wackadoodlism. They all have some common denominators. The adherents all tend to be "low information voters" with spotty education, and somewhat dim economi prospects. The adherents are also people with deep-seated inferiority complexes that manifest in them wanting to be the smartest people in the room, even if they have to bellow complete bullshit to leave that impression. So, to assuage their deep-seated feelings of inferiority, the teabagger/reliogo-nut/conspiracy wackadoodle lacthes onto one of the aforementiond groups because they are sources of "secret knowledge" and therefore put the person on a higher level than the educated individuals that they fear and loathe. This make any sense?

EFerrari The Stuooooopidest person on the internet. (1000+ posts) Thu Jul-29-10 04:55 PMResponse to Original message2. Yep. You're describing paranoia manipulated. At a lower level of critical thinking, it's just the message, "Government doesn't care about you" which isn't unreasonable in itself. But if you mix it with ignorance you get stuff like "Government out of my Medicare!". And at the lowest level, it's the message that you are a victim. It appeals to the 2 year old in most of us.

Can anybody direct me to a photographed Teaparty sign that says "Government out of my Medicare!" I will stand corrected, but I assert this has never ever happened. And Beth keeps repeating it.
It says "Government out of my MediHealthcare!" She's just a lyin' POS! After all, she's just a typical DUmbass, so it's expected!
