Last Week's Argument with a Republican; and His Answer This Week

Last week I posted asking for help to refute an argument about health care reform. I was in a heated discussion with a rich Republican who works in my office and he was arguing that our company-provided health care premiums would be taxable beginning in 2012. Of course this is incorrect.

Fellow DU'ers came through and helped me provide information that solidly proved his position WRONG.

This man did not return to the office until this morning and I was able to present him solid evidence that his position was wrong. Of course, in typical, unfailing, Republican spirit - his comment to me was (you guessed it!) that *I* had misunderstood what he had said. I will give them one thing - they are consistent.

I did NOT misunderstand his argument. This is simply the typical, back-sliding, hypocritical, mealy-mouth, cowardice response that the Republicans give when they are faced with actual facts. They can never simply admit that they are WRONG. Can you imagine the immaturity of a grown man, a business man in fact, presented with facts and figures who cannot simply say "I was wrong"? Of course you can because it happens on a daily basis.

This man is a total wimp and I have no respect for people who lie.

The bouncys get worse and worse.

Obama lies daily yet this dummy respects him.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

It starts in 2011.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
