It was in 2006 when a baby was born alive at a Florida abortion business and the owner allegedly shoved the struggling infant into a biohazard bag along with chemicals to speed the decomposition of the flesh, and it took almost three years for authorities to file charges.

But now it's been another 16 months, with no significant advances in the case against business owner Belkis Gonzalez, and a pro-life organization that has been monitoring the developments says the case has been hit by "defense by delay."

"Each of Gonzalez's hearings has been continued by request of the defense for about 30 days or so and this has been going on for months," said Troy Newman, president of the Wichita, Kan.-based Operation Rescue.

"There is no trial date on the horizon, just endless hearing dates and continuances," he said.

Operation Rescue has been watching the case since the death of the baby, Shanice Williams, first was revealed. It took public demands for a prosecution and nearly three years before prosecutors filed charges March 3, 2009. The charges were two felony counts of unlicensed practice of medicine and evidence tampering, not murder.

Good Lord help us. A living defenseless human being, shoved into a bag along with chemicals to speed its death? Hitler's "Angel of Death" Dr. Josef Mengele could only dream. To think how the liberals are so vile in their support of abortion.

Where's Scott Roeder when you really need him?

Can this be for Real.??

What jumped out at me was the quote---  Operation Rescue has been watching the case since the death of the baby, Shanice Williams, first was revealed.

Am I reading this wrong, a female goes for an abortion then after all is said and done she-- NAMES THE DEAD BABY.???

What does she care, she was paying money to have her baby killed, did it matter to her if the baby was killed inside her body or outside.  Either way that baby was alive when she got there, dead when she left.

ARGGGGGG,   SHE wanted her baby dead,  she just handed the job over to someone who was willing for a price, to kill it.

Now she has named the baby and most likely got a big law suit against the Clinic.

I just do not understand people, that put the onus on people that are doing a job that is perfectally legal according to the law  and at no time wonder about a woman who would carry a child long enough to have it born live then decide they don't want it to live any longer.

The mother that wants her baby dead, no problem she has done nothing wrong, her body, her choice.   But oh the people that do the Evil deed are the monsters.

As long as we have laws that do not hold people accountable for their actions, she who hires a hit man to take out her child's life at that stage of pregnancy and is then thought of as a victim is totally outside my ability to understand.
