Obamas send dog on separate jet to ME

Arriving in a small jet before the Obamas was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U.S. Sen Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president's personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with Baldacci.

First off, does anyone else find it incredibly ironic that Fat (now Dead) Ted gave Obumbles a PORTUGUESE WATER DOG, and that the one Dead Ted owned was named "Splash"?

Did they have a frank discussion with John T about de-planing the dog at Bangor or what?   I  mean how bad would it be after having to have to tell the kids daddy couldn't plug the hole that their new dog needs to be renamed "Splat"??  (I assume the Wiz landed a Bangor in the Air Farce Wun)

The web site now has a clarification saying the dog arrived on an earlier jet but there was also several people on the jet.  The reason there was two jets was the field was too small to accomodate the president's normal jet.  Hmmm, sounds like CYA to me.

Then again, it also reminds me of dispatching a SS agent in a jet (forget exactly where) to fetch one of Chelsea's schoolbooks when the Clinton's were in office.
