I just got off the phone with a local news station here and it wasn't pretty...
Edited on Tue Jul-13-10 12:24 AM by Drunken Irishman
I was watching the nightly news on KSL here in Salt Lake and they were airing a report on a supposed list of illegals living in the city. It was mailed to the media members, local government and law enforcement. The news reporter went out of her way to say that this wasn't verified and didn't know how credible the list was. They even said a local county sheriff's department didn't think it was credible enough to do anything about it.
Nice story, right? Well the kicker, and what pisses me off, is that they read names that were on the list. They also showed the names and have posted the list to their site.
So I ripped into them. I told them it was totally unprofessional to list the names, especially if they didn't even verify the legitimacy of the list.
And it is. This is inciting a mob and I said as much.
****ing tired of this shit.
To which, the soused one has this in the post:

It can be copied to any image hosting site, magnified and read. What an idiot.

22. Call the fed and report them for potential human rights abuse.
As well call the local sheriff and police department and inform them IN WRITING WITH A COPY GOING TO THE LOCAL COMPETING MEDIA) that a local station is inciting to riot.
In other words force multiply their paperwork. They will either be forced to do their jobs as journalists or hopefully exposed for the hacks they are. At the very least they might take the list down.

What abuse?

20. That list is bogus. Maria Gonzalez doesn't live in Utah. She lives
right here in the Valley.
All 4,378 of em? They pass that info from illegal to illegal.

75. Where did this list originate? Someone must have had access to DHS database. Call the DHS - they Updated at 3:21 PM

have a serious security breach on their hands. Call Sec. Janet Napolitano's office. It'll take them about 24 hours to locate the source. If that doesn't work try, Holder's office.
Without access to a DHS or law enforcement database, this list is meaningless.
What. No sending it to Keith? Oh yeah. That's right. Nobody watches him anyway.
It's a pretty big campfire.
