Idioms
« on: June 17, 2010, 01:57:09 PM »
While listening to the Howard Stern show today, I heard that there's now some outrage among black people. It's over some woman saying Obama must be out of his cotton picking mind. "Racism" is what's being screamed now. Wish I could remember who the woman was that said it, but this is certainly false outrage. I've heard/used the phrase numerous times before, and after he became President. Race doesn't even enter into it, for me. It's just a saying. It should be a non-issue, but I think it'll hit the mainstream here soon actually if it's already on Sirius.

Is it just me, or are leftists the most racially focused people on this planet. It's almost to the point that if someone says "niggardly" they raise a stink. It's crazy.

PS: For the record, Robin Quivers has no problem with someone telling a black person that they're out of their cotton picking mind.

It's not the idiom as much as it is the opportunity to silence dissent.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Oh, I agree. There's no talking to anyone who is mollified by Obama. You can't criticize him even minimally without getting a ration of shit. I don't understand it.

This topic isn't about Obama per se, but it can go in the critiquing him realm. Why are there still people that are enamored by the man? They frustrate me to no end. I hate to be rude to people, but I can only take so much ObamaMania talk before I start cursing/verbally abusing the person guilty of verbal diarrhea until they get the **** away from me!  :hammer:

It seems like these bots are just patrolling the media/print/everyday life to find any criticisms of their dear President, so that they may rectify what they believe are certainly wrongs.

Have I mentioned that basically this whole topic thing pisses me off? The double standard, the affrontory at a simple idiom, everything about it.

Obama called himself a blank canvas for people to project what they wanted to see onto him.

To attack Obama is to attack their dreams and hopes.

And if you think Obots are bad wait until a Rondriod gets hold of you.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Without racism, their heroes (Jesse and Al) are out a job.  And without racism and Jesse and Al, welfare may soon follow.  So, hence the false outcry.

Then it makes the choice for me fairly easy.

Just...let..me...reload...here.

Oh, and I don't even want to think about Rondroid.  :banghead:

How ignorant to think only black people pick cotton.  That's racist.
