A small Iranian force crossed into the Kurdish-controlled region of northern Iraq on Thursday after a bomb attack that killed several Iranian soldiers. The assault was carried out by the Party for Free Life in Kurdistan, an Iranian Kurdish militant movement based in northern Iraq that is known by its Kurdish acronym, PEJAK.

Iran is quoted as saying "“We are very proud of our diplomacy, although we are mainly benefiting from mistakes made by the United States and its allies,” said Kazem Jalali, a key member of the Iranian parliament’s commission on national security and foreign policy. “We are using all our resources to exploit these weaknesses.”"

In other words, they see Obama as weak.
