A 33-year-old Virginia teacher is accused of filming himself engaged in sexual activities with a 15-year-old male student while in their middle school, according to court documents filed in Alexandria's federal court.

Authorities first went to Scott Christopher Howe's home after his landlord called police claiming Howe was growing marijuana on the back deck. When Howe came home, he allowed police to search his home, documents said.



In his bedroom, authorities found a computer and a video camera, and they started asking Howe questions about contraband on his computer, charging documents said. Howe told the Fauquier County sheriff's deputies that on the computer and camera were videos of him engaged in sexual activity with a student at Cedar Lee Middle School in Bealeton, according to the court documents.

A Fauquier County school district spokeswoman declined to comment Tuesday, saying she could not discuss personnel issues.

Howe was taken into custody in late August and charged with production of child pornography and drug possession. Police said they found about 15 marijuana plants in the apartment. There was no attorney listed for Howe in court records

What is it with people that work with children in today's world.?

I have gotten to the point that I am wondering about the motives of everyone that has anything to do with kids from scouting ,schooling to the church to coaching kids sports.

This is a horrid way to feel, just thinking about this makes me feel dirty.

The worse for me is wondering why the need to document the discusting behavior, do these people really have no idea that what they are doing is WRONG and destructive to children ?

Some of this stuff makes me wonder if a person with this compulsion want to get caught ---why else send text messages, naked pictures or love letters to a young child.?  Video taping them in a sex act is really sick.

Teaching is a very high professional occupation, it is one of the few professions that does not expect those in it to dress professionally.  Few male teachers wear a suit and tie, few woman wear business attire.  There have been times when I have had a difficult time telling the teachers from the students.
