Israel recoils as US backs nuclear move
« on: May 30, 2010, 10:12:25 PM »
Quote
Washington's unprecedented backing for a UN resolution for a nuclear-free Middle East that singles out Israel has both angered and deeply worried the Jewish state although officials are cagey about openly criticising their biggest ally.
The resolution adopted by the United Nations on Friday calls on Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and urges it to open its facilities to inspection.

It also calls for a regional conference in 2012 to advance the goal of a nuclear-free Middle East.

Israel is widely believed to be the only nuclear power in the Middle East, with around 200 warheads, but has maintained a policy of deliberate ambiguity about its capabilities since the mid-1960s.

The document, which singles out Israel but makes no mention of Iran's controversial nuclear programme, drew a furious reaction from the Jewish state who decried it as "deeply flawed and hypocritical."

But it was US backing for the resolution which has caused the most consternation among Israeli officials and commentators, who interpreted the move as "a resounding slap around the face" which has dealt a very public blow to Israel's long-accepted policy of nuclear ambiguity.
  Breitbart

Is there any doubt that Obama took Jeremiah Wright's anti-Semitic rants to heart?  Israel's nuclear deterrent is all that has kept them safe.  When are the American Jews going to wake up?

Hear those hoofbeats in the distance?  Know what those are?

Let's put it this way; according to prophesy, the events of the Second Coming don't begin in earnest until Israel stands alone in the world again, without a single ally.

I wondered about that when Plague and Death showed up on the member list.

War and Famine are busy - I think War's in the Sandbox (of course) and Famine's having a jolly good time in North Korea at the moment - but I expect they'll be along shortly as well.

The Izzies would have to be on some truly killer weed to ever agree to that.

the next thing he will do is stand with CAIR and condemn the ordeal this morning! Then when he does this it is all out there for all to see!  :fuelfire: Because for me that will be the final straw eh?

Strange as I  have never believed in the prophesy business, this gives me pause and uneasiness.

I wonder who the Anti- Christ will be.??    With people like Obama running about it appears that there are some that are preparing the world for the future entrance of the Evil one.

Like a Gardner, humans are tilling the fields in readiness for the seeds of Evil to be planted.   Naturally these people are lied to, they think they are planting seeds of future peace, most likely they would be horrified to know their seeds are toxic.

Prophesy was written 2,000 years ago, written in the manor people of that time would understand.    Today we have to find a substitute for modern day things that are familiar to us.  Horses = tanks, for example.   Spears= missals.

There is also the fact that when the prophecy's were written the world to them was very small.

Then one must take coincidence into consideration..  When the Spanish arrived the natives were waiting for a GOD that had red hair riding a beast from the stars to come and change their lives.    They thought this was for the good, but failed to understand that change can be the death of a culture.

A major guiding philosophy in Obama's foreign policy has to keep rogue states from feeling isolated. The idea is--and granted it sounds reasonable on the surface--that if a state feels isolated and backed into a corner they will lash out rather than embrace diplomatic/economic enticements.

But while this is designed to make Iran feel as if the playing field is level there are a number of prblems:

1) Iran doesn't give a shit if the playing field is level; Iran wants what Iran wants

2) Iran can afford to drag this out Israel cannot

3) that is because the threat to Israel is total and existential. As Amadinejad said a few years back, "Israel is a one bomb state."

By trying to curry consideration from Iran by not backing Iran into a corner Obama has succeeded in backing Israel into a corner and guess what...

...desperate nations who have been backed into a corner may lash out.

That is why this moral equivolancy shit never works. You HAVE to take sides. The horse you want to back may not be running in the race but the question at the end of the day is: who would I rather have win or lose because they both can't win?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

So when are the Joooooos in Hollyweird going to turn their back on the Annointed One? :uhsure:

Or will they side with liberalism, even if it means turning their back on their mother country?
