A 22-year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly smearing feces on a parking ticket and placing it in a village payment box in northwest suburban Bartlett.
Alexander J. Bailey of 6N678 Medina Rd. in Medinah was charged after smearing feces on the parking ticket he received, then placing it inside the village payment box on April 6, according to a release from Bartlett police.
The stained parking ticket was discovered when an employee opened the envelope to process the ticket, the release said. Police said Bailey had enclosed payment for the violation along with the soiled ticket.
Bailey, who faces a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, was released on $5,000 bond, which was set April 13 by Judge Kay Hanlon in Rolling Meadows, Cook County State's Attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 1 at 1:30 p.m.
