I think what is really at work here is an aristocratic societal view similar to the middle ages. I live in the south and I think the thinking is that we should bow to the "King" or the aristocrats because of their goodness they will give us jobs. Think of the rhetoric - give tax cuts to the wealthy and they will invest and give us jobs. In reality it's just the opposite. The rich will hoard money and if the dirty masses create a need then they will consider investing. Needs come from the masses and that need is how we create markets.

QUERY: How would the rich make any money unless they first had people working for them to provide goods and services to society and people in society had jobs with which to provide those goods and services?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

The only way wealthy people can "hoard" money without investing it is to put it in sacks under their beds. No successful person has bundles of bills heaped up all over the house. Anyone that stupid could not be successful in the first place. DUmp democrats, who live from one government check to the next, have no conception of investment or savings. If a windfall comes their way, they simply use it to temporarily increase the size of their drug stash.

By the DUmmies definition, I am probably a money hoarder, even though I'm not rich, because I have chunk of money sitting in the bank for a future downpayment.  However, while it is in the bank, the bank is using it for loans and such, so it is actually working while there.
