The Obama strategy on Iran is working, Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to the President, said this morning in an exclusive This Week interview. She insisted that “Iran will back down.”

Asked about reports this morning that Iran is “is preparing to build” new nuclear facilities, Jarrett said the administration would continue to use diplomatic tools to push Iran into compliance with United Nations resolutions.

“We are going to continue to put pressure on Iran,” she said. “We’re going to have a coalition that will really put pressure on Iran and will stop them from doing what they are trying to do.”

Jarrett insisted that progress had been made since Obama took office. “Over the last year, what we’ve seen when the President came into office, there was a unified Iran. Now we’re seeing a lot of divisions within the country,” she told ABC’s Jake Tapper. “And we’re seeing steady progress in terms of a world coalition that will put that pressure on Iran.”

“I think we have a strong force in the making and Iran will back down,” Jarrett said.

U.N. Suspects Iran of Planning More Nuke Sites

Western intelligence officials and United Nations inspectors said they suspect Iran is planning to build more nuclear sites, according to The New York Times.

This comes despite international demands for the Islamic Republic to open up its nuclear operations for inspection.

Comments by the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi, prompted inspectors to search for at least two more sites.

Salehi told the Iranian Student News Agency in an interview that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had ordered two new plants built inside mountains.

"God willing," Salehi said, "we may start the construction of two new enrichment sites" in the Iranian new year, which began March 21.

Meanwhile, Tehran continues to insist its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
Not backing down

Obama is clueless about foreign policy.

He surrounds himself with Dimrat flunkies.

Dimrats are clueless about foreign policy.

They always follow a losing proposition of negotiating on an equal footing, when the proper thing to do is negotiate from a position of strength.

She's a moron.  Obama needs to buy her a clown suit if she gives out any more 'Enlightened commentary' like that.

And what exactly are her qualifications to give advice to the president in this particular situation?

Looking at her resume, I see no experience in foreign relations.  Just because mommy and daddy cranked you out in Iran doesn't make you an expert on the region, toots.

IOW, STFU unless you know what the hell you're talking about, Valerie.
