An assistant professor in public affairs and administration at Cal State East Bay has been charged in San Francisco with possessing child pornography, authorities said Wednesday.

Kenneth Kyle, 47, was arrested Monday at San Francisco International Airport, where he was returning from a trip to Europe, prosecutors said. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

"These are highly disturbing images - it's an incredibly disturbing case," Buckelew said. "The images are the most offensive you can imagine."

Kyle has been on the faculty at Cal State East Bay in Hayward for four years. Before that, according to his academic biography, he was an associate sociology professor at Pennsylvania State University. There, he taught undergraduate classes in sociology, behavioral sciences and women's studies.

Kyle has written books about homelessness and school shootings. He is listed as an editor of Social Problems Forum, newsletter of the Society for the Study of Social Problems, and is a former chairman of the group's divisions on educational problems and juvenile delinquency. ...

What is it about profs at CSU facilities?

Just a month or 2 ago, we had a professor at Colorado State University sentenced to prison for secretly videotaping male students who used the bathroom in his home.

Sick ****s; they need to just be tossed into the wood chipper and have done with them.
