Hey white middle class American! Don't act so shocked.
 The ruling class saw the Red Man with all this land, they said, “They're wasting this land. We must take it from them”. And they did. Nobody complained because they were Red.

When the monied class wanted to produce crops cheaply they said, “The Black man is wasting his time running around in Africa. We must use them as slaves.” And they did. Nobody complained because they were Black.

When the elite business men wanted cheap products they looked at the Yellow Man and said, “They waste all their time growing rice and such. We must use them as cheap labor.” And they did. Nobody complained because they were Yellow.

Then the rich and powerful looked around and saw the great, big, fat American middle class and said, “They have too much money. They waste it on frivolities. We must take that money from them.” And they are doing that.

But now everyone is complaining! “But we're white, you shouldn't exploit us”. And the truth comes out. It really wasn't about race, was it? It's always about the money.

Exactly!  So, just the other day I was at the grocery store, and out in the parking lot a man jumped out of the bushes.  He was in a tuxedo and wore a top hat and monocle.  He came over to a guy in a plumber's jumpsuit, took out a gun and said, "My good man.  I say, hand over your wallet."  The plumber said "No!  I need the money to feed my hungry children and pay for my sky-high healthcare, which runs $10,000 a month."  The rich guy said "I don't care, my good chap.  I said, give me your wallet."  There was nothing to do but hand it over.  The working guy said "You'll never get away with this, you rich rethug fundie puke!"  All the onlookers cheered and clapped.

Didn't slavery exist long before white guys came to America? I think I remember a story about a guy named Moses who crossed this big ole honkin' sea with a bunch of slaves. But maybe that doesn't count cuz they were Jews. Even Native Americans had slaves, most were treated pretty brutally. But that probably doesn't count either since they're a protected class. How many of those slaves from Africa were captured by rival tribes and sold/given to slave traders? Maybe that doesn't count either. Must be more of that nuance stuff - I'm pretty sure for DUmmies it means "whenever two or more contradictory "facts" collide". Still, I'd love for these idiots to spend one week living the way, say, the Comanches lived. I think the vegans would starve to death.

Somehow, they never get around to explaining the motivation of the Eeeevul Rich in sitting around thinking of ways to destroy the class which maintains the rich's cash flow by buying those "frivolities."

Wouldn't the rich want a strong and expanded middle class to buy the houses, cars, home theaters, entertainment and other products and services the corporations of the rich produce?

Cindie, slavery still exists today. In impoverished countries like Indonesia (or is that Malaysia) you can hear of a common practice of poor Christian families selling little girls to Muslim families as "servants". These girls are slaves, its accepted they'll be raped and abused, converted and often be killed.

Chattel slavery is still legal in one African country that I have heard of, there was an "election" there recently. And America was not the last country to ban or end in actuality slavery either. I think even Brazil had slavery AFTER we fought the Civil War.
