Oh my.
Unfortunately, the gigantic primitive doesn't show up at this campfire.
How much does anyone want to bet the Zoe primitive and the vixenish primitive are chubs?
Very complex situation here.
I see no outstanding rule for people, we need air, food and water to survive, other then that we can adapt to any climate and most any life style.
It may take 20 generations for our body's to change as the Eskimo has, or did at the time we started to explore looking for a North West Passage.
Was it Admiral Perry that left drawings of Eskimo woman and men whose livers had grown huge in order to accommodate the high fat diet and little if any other food? No waist shaped like an egg.
In Alaska a study was done on the Discovery Chanel with a native and the Host of a show to find out if the old fable was true. Both men, the Native was short and thin, the host was a good 6 feet tall and weighed nearly 200 lbs.
Both went out into -10 degree weather wearing pants, shoes, and a heavy shirt. Both were hooked up to body monitors to track blood flow and core temperature.
The Host handled it OK for about 15 minutes, the native didn't have a problem for over 90 minutes. The Natives body had somehow changed to allow survival and the blood flow was very different from the hosts.
What does this have to do with obese people.?
Depends what is in their DNA and life style, climate they live in and perhaps even those they socialize with.
Why in a family of thin and tall people will perhaps just one child be born with big bones, broad hips and humongous Tatars.?
Or--- In a family of short chubby family will a tall thin child pop up.?
You know how it is when one craves a food, we sometimes think that this is the brain telling us we need some nutriment in that food.
So a person that is wired genetically to be over weight has their stomach banded and can only eat perhaps a quarter of what they have been eating for years.
Talk about a rock and a hard place, this poor person is at the mercy of their genes and a brain trying to control the body's needs.
Depressed, no wonder, people can and do loose weight but when genetics kick in, then the yo yo comes out and they loose and gain so often that it takes a toll on the body. They may in fact have lived 5 years longer had they just stayed 30 lbs. over weight.
BTW, are all your cats still outside enjoying cat life or have a couple decided it is much nicer to be in your lap while you read.?
