Here's my police story.
I was about 22 or 23 I was out drinking and I drove home (I know I shouldn't have) anyway I passed out and ran over the railroad tracks somehow I rammed the drive shaft through the transmission and the car wouldn't move. A cop pulled up and asked if I was ok. I told him yeah and I knew I was busted. He asked me where I was heading I told him back to Fort Hood he called the MPS and had them meet me at the gate. When we got there they put me in the back of the car and drove me back to the barracks. I should have been busted big time for a DUI that night but, for some reason they just took me home. Sadly it took me 2 DUIS to learn my lesson but that night both civilian and military police decided to give me a huge break.
