Did anyone catch this show on TLC the other day?

Quote
Kenadie, now 6.5 years old... 31 inches tall and 14lbs is doing wonderfully.  She has begun to speak and her development is continuing to improve every day.  She is a bright little girl and I am so very proud of her.

Medically, there have been some hurdles... there continue to be hurdles... but we stay positive and confident that she is strong enough to continue to overcome them.

Kenadie and school;  this has become somewhat of a concern this year.  We have just moved to a new city, so we must explore our options to make sure we make the best decision.  We have to be aware of safety and inclusion as well as making sure that she is in a place that will encourage her own independence.  We will observe the schools in our area next week and make a decision from there.  Either way, she will be in half day classes.  The rest of the time, I will put in the time of using the Your Baby Can Read program, which from my understanding is amazing... we just started last week and she loves it so far.  Tyran can already read the word elephant!

Now, I will move on to my final bit in this brief update.  I wish that it was possible for me to express the gratitude that I have for so many strangers turned angels in my heart.  Our family has been overwhelmed with kindness and there is no way that anyone could ever understand what that support has meant to me as a mother.  I know that both Kenadie and Tyran will face so many struggles in life; struggles that I can’t even begin to imagine yet.  But because of the kindness of so many people out there these two children have been taught about gratitude and giving at a very young age.  They always think of other people and are willing to share almost anything.  They understand that giving to others is important and this year I will teach them about volunteering.  So, to everyone who has sent a letter, toy or gift, please know that we receive them, we cherish them and we give back as much as we receive.  Our hearts have been warmed by your grace.

I know Chris. She's truly a gift from above.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
