Conjecture: How would Biden vote on a bill the White House did not support?

Picture this, a month from now a health care bill is on the Senate floor for final passage. Somehow, beyond belief, the Democrats have got Single Payer into it. The White House does not support the Bill. Joe Biden steps up to the Chair and drops his Vice President's cloak to become President of the Senate. The score is 50:50. His vote will decide.

At this moment is Joe Biden the working man's friend who will give us the Single Payer that we so richly deserve, or will he be ... something else?

Or how about if it goes the other way. What if Democrats, at the President's direction, put in every poison pill the Republicans can dream up. What if we get a Health Care Bill, but its are real dog? The White House is going to support just about anything the President can sign and call a victory, but what if its such a dog that it provides little to nothing for the common man and funnels even more of the public trust to the health care industry. Should Biden vote for it?

How do you think it might go?

2. If he votes for it he'll be on Rahm's and Obama's Shit List forever. It could be a one-way ticket to early retirement as VP, but his career could continue in another political arena because those wanting SP would support him in his future endeavors.

If he doesn't vote for it, those counting on him to do the right thing and vote for SP will never forgive him, but he would be on "What have you done for me lately" Obama's good side...at least for now.

3. Too Much Flesh In The Game...

If it came down to a final vote on passing some kind of healthcare "reform" (or more specific insurance "reform") and going home empty, Biden will vote to pass and declare victory. The White House needs a bill to pass and ASAP. They've been framed as "do nothing" by the corporate media and the rushpublicans are getting some traction with this. With the mid terms starting to kick into gear, the Democrats need to get this thing done and go from defense to offense.

I agree he'd vote for anything that could be put on the President's desk, your trailing reason is the good part. Aside from the mid-term maybe what we are seeing isn't much more than a White House rapid reaction to being called "do-nothng". It has long been Obama's habit to respond more or less immediately to slurs - and this is one he can not ignore.

It's a stoopid question. There isn't enough support for single payer to even get a bill that far. It would have to be a new bill and it would never pass cloture. Stupid DUmmie can't even come up with a plausible hypothetical question.

They "richly deserve"--why? Why do they "richly deserve"?  Because they managed to get born? No wonder they want to kill babies-too much competition in the "entitlement" stakes already. Another instance where their self-vaunted "compassion" gets dropped with the quickness.
