Tea Party observations   Updated at 10:29 AM

I haven't seen one sign that protests, or heard from any Teabaggers regarding, the USA's spending as it expands the Military/Industrial/Complex.
Nor have I seen any tax dollar spending angst from them as our prison systems expand beyond any reasonable level.

And as far as protesting big money corporate control of our laws and government? They think "government" oppresses the big boys.

Go figure.

I would think providing for a national defense would be a legitimate function of Govt. I know I read that somewhere maybe it was on a roll of toilet paper at the white house.

When the govt oppresses the big boys the small boys get screwed too. If you ruin business and evil corporations there are no jobs. If there are no jobs then no one can make money to pay the govt to pay you goons your welfare checks every month. I have no love of corporations but I do realize they are a necessary evil if we are to have economic success in these 60 states that Obama is lord over.

4. A bit of a double standard here, eh?

"Yes, I haven't heard the teabuggers complain about billions being used for war?"

Why is that governments can always find room in the budget for wars (and bank bail-outs and tax cuts for the rich), but when it comes to health care, everyone panics about the big expense and debt?

To be fair many of the teabirthers are complaining about the bank bail outs that are allowing Obama to run the banks.

7. Where are all the black & Latino teabaggers?

I would bet that there are more blacks and Hispanics in the tea party than at DU.
I've seen the picture threads, DU is full of white hippies.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

If we could designate where our tax dollars went, I would designate all my money to the military. How do you like them apples DUmmie?  :bird:

Stupid asshats have not seen a chart or a graph as to how LITTLE we are spending on Defense. This crap about how dare we spend money on the defense of our country while people starve or lack health care is about seriously stupid as one can get. We are not even close to spending at the rate that we did during Vietnam on defense but we sure as HELL are spending a ton more on wealfare and illeagle aliens and what are we as  a country getting back for it? A bunch of **** ups on DU that can't even do a basic google search to check information before their Cheetos stained fingers hit post.

The primitives' mind-set is still on the mid-1960s, when the defense budget was still the largest item in the federal budget.

Since many of the primitives were out smoking dope and doing drugs at the time, their brain-cells sort of fossilized on that notion.

The world--and the federal budget--has changed considerably since the Age of Aquarius, but like a rock, the primitives' brains remain paralyzed in a very long time ago.

I meant on the federal level, I guess we'd have to vote for state and local too.
