And once again the MSM appears to be proven wrong.

Same flight tonight had to request police at the gate and a Nigerian man has been taken into custody.

I read that, also. Time to ban all travelers from Nigeria.

That last sentence is, IMO, a summary history of the last 15-20 years of politics in CA. I'm not convinced that Fiorina or the lady who ran E-Bay will be that much better that the Gubernator. They're making some nice noises, saying some nice things, but he said pretty much the same things back in '03.

Off Topic:

I've been keeping my eye on Meg Whitman (eBay CEO) and have been holding out for some hope here.  But your right, she's starting to sound like all the rest - blah, blah, blah.  I do not believe California will turn around until we oust Feinstein, Boxer, several demo representatives, and the majority of the bleeding heart government/social programs in this state.  Can you tell I'm conservative.  Lol

Also thought Pete Wilson did a good job back in the day...

On Topic:

I fear (and pray not) that another 9/11 attack is coming.  When and if it does, BO will just blame it on Bush...  Praise God that this past 12/25 Christmas day attempt - failed.

Exit Strategy...

One other little comment(ary) to add, mainly addressed to the folks who are still too deluded to read this forum regularly:

And now, a little tune for our esteemed head of DHS:

(sorry, Don)

They're pickin' up the prisoners and puttin'
'em in Yemen
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
Rebels been rebels since I don't know when
And all she wants to do is dance
Molotov cocktail-the local drink
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
They mix 'em up right in the kitchen sink
And all she wants to do is dance
Crazy people walkin' round
with blood in their eyes
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
Wild-eyed pistol wavers
who ain't afraid to die
And all she wants to do is-
And all she wants to do is dance

Lagos, Nigeria, has consistently been on the shit-list for world's worst airport security, along with a few in the ME and even Athens still has major issues.  While the EU takes security seriously, they're not as intrusive as they are here, or at least such has been my experience.  Most of the BS we go through here is just stuff that is "feel good because it's visible but really is useless" crap.

I remember travelling from the Gulfport, MS regional airport back in the 70's and they had one of those lettered signs, that said travelling to Lagos was not safe.  More than 25 years after, and they still had the same sign up.  Unchanged.

Two thoughts on this subject.

Didn't the US recently kill several Al Qaeda leaders in Yemen, and also some civilians?

Lord Zero had considered releasing several dozens of Yemeni nationals from GitMo to be returned to Yemen.

Used to live in Lagos as a kid in the 70's - foreign service brat - I hear it's degenerated since then.

Obama finally got around to making a statement.  At least I think he did... CNN had him "live" moving his gums.  Dude couldn't bother to put on a tie.  He must still be on vacation.
