I often wonder if what is going on today in America is not by design. 
 That dick and w actually have and/or are attempting to take over our government. If that would be the case maybe that would explain my heighten state of all 'shits about to break loose' awareness I find myself in these days. From what I've read about dick cheney I've come to the conclusion that he has been doing the leg work, laying the ground work, for all these years, back to his nixon days, setting the stage to be where he is today. Bushs role is or was to begin with that of someone like he is, easily lead, or maybe better put, that dick could play like a pianist does the ivories. Plus someone with the connections to make it to the white house while dragging 5 deferment dick along for the ride. No way dick could have been elected to the Presidency on his own and he knows that, his style is too caustic.
I hope there is nothing to the worry I have for these next 10 or so months. This could be a put up or shut up time for bush/cheney as they have committed so many crimes since this coup started in december of '00, many of which they have admitted to no less. At any rate too much to take the chance of turning and walking away. If they fail or give up now they could be facing hard time, time they neither have anymore.
Yes, I fear its going to get a lot worst before it gets better.


my bad that I can't capitalize the names of these traitors here on DU but I can't give them the respect that capitalizing their names would give them, again my bad.

 I find it impossible to believe that this country could have reached this sorry state without careful planning from the top. Sheer ineptitude wouldn't account for this disaster. I think the plan from the beginning was to totally bankrupt the country and destroy the economy. Every action they have taken has been a moral outrage and it's like no-one even cares! They should have been impeached years ago. Instead it has been politics pretty much as usual. Like you, I suspect it is only going to get much worse. I am not optimistic about our future. I hate to be such a pessimist, but optimism is hard to come by in this day and age. It will take decades to undo the damage done by these criminals.

"bigger" gets one of their guys in the WH like Nixon or Reagan and now Bush, the Constitution gets whittled away more and more. It's not just Bush or Cheney per se but the interests that they are representing and a part of. Unfortunately, I believe that they have also infiltrated the Democrats so that no matter who gets into power, it will be one of their guys.

I have never been as disillusioned by an election cycle as I am now, nor more afraid for my country and the direction it's being led down.

You look back just before Reagan and what took place . First thing was to de-regulate and to attack and destroy the education system and take over the media .

This was an effect of mass dumbing down and the first step in a process to control everything people think and see and how they would in turn react to survive .

Things will get a lot worse in what's left of 2008 and beyond . It will take decades to turn this around if it can be turned around ever again , I doubt it can .

They use this 21st century as the beginning of time and base everything on the 21st century as the new century as if this is something to be desired .

The first war in the 21st century how grand that was as a promise of a future .

" You are either with us or against us " this still rings in my ears and still holds true to this day .

But Dickless and the rest of them didn't count on.. us. On the internet, on organization, on the fact that many of us refuse to be afraid. I think they really thought if they let 9/11 happen they would be free to do whatever they wanted without anyone standing up to them. Although we haven't had much luck nailing them to the proverbial wall, I can only imagine the tatters the Constitution would be in if we didn't keep bringing their deeds to light. I think they envisioned a much easier and more compliant populace, and I think that we would be much worse off without places like DU.
