I dont want a playoff

As a fan of a team that rarely will compete for a national championship, but will try to compete for a Rose Bowl Berth, I selfishly would rather keep the bowl system in place. Having said that. If i were not tied to a school, Id probably be all for a playoff.

The condom primitive:

1. Too much $$$ in the Bowls.

Won't change for the foreseeable future.

2. I agree with you.

I think it was ESPN that started pushing this in the first place. They have really managed to strip a lot of tradition out of sports. I don't think it's entirely intentional, and I like some of their new traditions - I am probably "College Game Day"'s biggest fan, outside of the obligatory sob story each week.

I think big media in general is pushing for this, having managed to strip a lot of tradition out of college sports.
