More Or Less Homeless People In Your Town

I live in Orlando and I am seeing more;especially homeless couples.

I keep dollar bills in my change compartment but wish I could do more.

This doesn't feel like any holiday season I can remember.

New bonfire. I thought this would all end with Obozo in the WH DUmmies?  :whatever:

I don't see a difference.  Once a month we issue a new suit of clothes to our homeless so they will blend in.

We are now a MAGNET city in addition to being a Sanctuary city.

I can't figure it out but the more money we give to the homeless the more homeless show up to get the more money.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I suspect I'm like millions of people who live in suburbia. Unless I go to downtown in the Big City, I could go many years without seeing a single wino or beggar, and I don't even see a Mexican unless he's riding a mower. That's why I never go downtown in the Big City. So, I'd say that even in this horrible O-conomy, our number of winos is about the same - none.

Heh. I read the DUmmie's title as like a third option:

Homeless

Yes                         No                          More or less
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

I couldn't tell you. I have the extra dark tinting on my limo windows so I can't see outside while I'm drinking my $1000 a sip scotch and smoking my smuggled Cuban stogie on the way to my job clubbing baby seals and selling health insurance.

We PAY people to club the seals.

I prefer to do it myself. That way I know the job is being done right. Plus it gets me outdoors for a while.

Personally, I don't see any difference. Even if we tried to get rid of homelessness, it will never happen. Some people choose to be homeless. At least you are not tied down to mortgage.  :fuelfire:

I would have thought this bonfire would have brought bobbolink running, or staggering, or whatever it is she does.

The only homeless I see around here is usually when a family will get together in order to bail their black sheep outa jail. Usually the family lives in the "Big" city, is "filthy" rich, and their loved one is railing  against the machine, hitchhiking to "get away from the man", and got caught, either drunk in public, or high enough to fly kites without a tether!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

If I got nothing else out of the Confused Group (besides the GI Bill, which is another story), I gained a perverse sense of humor.  :-)
