Oh my.

The large-proboscised primitive, Oscar Wilde, who has NOT donated to Skins's island:

Could Sarah Palin get elected president in 2012?

Who could have ever believed that an amiable imbecile like, St. Ronnie could get elected president? -- twice.

And who could have ever believed that George W. Bush, (the Fredo of the Bush family), could have ever ended up occupying the Oval Office? -- twice.

I have very little faith in the intelligence of the American people. And I have even less confidence in the fairness/honesty of our electoral system.

Could Sarah Palin end up in the White House as a result of the 2012 presidential election? As incredibly ridiculous as that question sounds, I believe that's it's within the realm of possibility.

And a possible "President Sarah Palin" is beyond frightening. It's insanity squared. And the word "insanity" perhaps best describes the state of America today.

Oh my.

The bitter sour theologian, the defrocked warped primitive, who has NOT donated to Skins's island:

10. Only if she were rigged in the way Stupid was and that's a very big "if."

I think she burned her bridges in that department when she resigned as governor to chase the almighty dollar.

I think they'll run another sacrificial lamb in 2012 and then run against all the mistakes Obama made over 8 years (and he will make them) in 2016.

I just don't think they'll be nuts enough to run the Wasilla Quitter.

20. Well, Tricky Dick told us "You won't have Nixon to kick around anymore."

It sure as hell looked like he'd never again be elected to anything as minor as a condominium board. Somehow, it didn't turn out that way and we all got screwed.

Never say never.

26. Yeah, but he didn't quit. He lost an election.

Democratic missteps and a Kennedy assassination gave us Dick.

18. Comparisons between Palin and Bush are hollow, for this purpose.

It's wrong to look at America's election of Bush (and even Reagan) and assume that 50% would vote for someone like Palin. Sure, they were both popular conservative governors of little intellectual import. But that's about it.

Bush was a political insider. And in his home state (one with a massive electoral count, btw), he was elected to two terms as governor. Palin failed to serve out her first term.

As vacuous as Bush was, if his intelligence was ever truly questioned, supporters could point to his Yale and Harvard educational background. Palin has no such laurels. In fact, I would think her people would want avoid her formal schooling altogether.

In short, she's just too much. When people get right down to it, they're not dumb. They aren't going to vote for someone so obviously unqualified. I think it's ironic that many on the far right think that she carried the ticket in 2008, that without her, McCain would have gone down McGovern-style. It's the exact opposite, of course. Many in the middle ran away scared from that ticket because of her and either didn't vote, or cast a ballot for Obama.

It would be the greatest blessing ever bestowed upon this country if she ran in 2012, and won the Republican nomination, because there's no way America elects her...to anything, ever again.

Uh huh.

55. You have a hell of a lot more faith in the intelligence of the American public than I do.

Excuse my arrogance, but "thinking" is not something that most people do well.

How the hell did Ronald Reagan get to be president? -- Twice.

And how did George W. get to steal it without a peep from the masses? -- Twice.

Yet, you still think there's no way this creature could get to occupy the Oval Office???

36. The 2008 election exposed her for the idiot she is

So how come she still has a sizable band of morons who worship her? And these morons are Republican fringe nuts who vote in primaries.

Although we think she's a bad joke, we ignore her at our peril.

I have no idea why, but I'm starting to get the impression Oscar Wilde thinks rather much too highly of his own intellectual powress.

As smart as they all claim to be they sure do all revel in being failures in life.
Must be feeling oppressed is more satisfying to primitives then being successful is.

Feelings of oppression not only serve as a salve for one's own failings they actually instill a sense of courage when come back grousing about your oppression because then you can claim you are raging against the machine.

Success would make you the oppressor and lead to feelings of guilt.

But what Oscar Wilde fails to see is that he is part of the machine.

Ya want to tell me intelligence has anything to do with elected officials when we have the Bumbler and Biden in the WH? If I were you, I'd check into the nearest "rubber room" for a thorough check up! Ask the independents if they think they made an "intelligent" decision voting in a communist and an ignorant political slut to the American Presidency.
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

And take away all those things and they'll STILL be oppressed.

Well to be fair, they ARE still waiting for their pony. Unfortunately, their silky pony ran off and impregnated a bimbo and thus has faded into obscurity. He's back to channeling dead children now.
