As much as I dislike Carrie Prejean and her politics, to be penalized for a private tape is wrong

She was 17 and sent the tape to her boyfriend. This should have had NOTHING to do with her lawsuit against Miss USA. It was not a public act. This was no more nor less than blackmail. I also wonder how much the boyfriend got paid for the tape.

For the record: Prejean is political pond scum and deserves to be taken down on her intolerance. But how many women make tapes or pictures for the man they love? Should they ALL be used as blackmail in lawsuits?

I am very much against the porn industry, which abuses and exploits women, but if I choose to send a b-friend a naked photo, that's my own business.

At the least, Nikki is quite correct here.  Carrie has never lied, as far as I know.  Once again, DUmmies accuse of bad behaviors they are most guilty of.  No wonder Coulter could make a whole book out of it. 

Wouldn't it be exhausting being married to Nikki?  Or being her best friend?  Always yammering on, and every cause deserves as much passion as another.  I could see it driving you to drink.

When I was infatuated with Bella Abzug, I always looked at it as something similar with the Henry R. Luce-Clare Boothe Luce marriage (which by the way was an extraordinarily happy one).

Henry R. Luce of course had his magnificent good points, but one of his bad points was his reticence in conversation and chitchat, due to a stutter.  He married Clare because she was the opposite of him, engaging and witty and sparkling.

My disappointment with Bella Abzug is of recent date; I sensed that while Bella Abzug is aesthetic, svelte, a good horsewoman and plays tennis, she's no Clare Boothe Luce.  Clare Boothe Luce had wit, and real wit comes only from wisdom.

Unfortunately, after reading the history of her comments, Bella Abzug didn't cut the mustard in the wisdom department.
