Events Surrounding Fort Hood Shooting Rampage Detailed
« on: November 07, 2009, 07:20:41 AM »
FORT HOOD, Texas —  Pfc. Marquest Smith, on his way to Afghanistan in January, was completing routine paperwork about a bee-sting allergy when the sounds erupted.

A loud, popping noise. Moans. The sudden, urgent shout of "Gun!"

Smith poked his head over the cubicle's partition and saw an extraordinary sight: An Army officer with two guns, firing into the crowded room.

The 21-year-old Fort Worth native quickly grabbed the civilian worker who'd been helping with his paperwork and forced her under the desk. He lay low for several minutes, waiting for the shooter to run out of ammunition and wishing he, too, had a gun.

After the shooter stopped to reload, Smith made a run for it. Pushing two other soldiers in front of him, he made it out of the Soldier Readiness Processing center — only to plunge into the building twice more to help the wounded.

Smith had survived the worst mass shooting on an American military base, a rampage of more than 100 shots that left 13 dead and 30 wounded, including the alleged shooter, Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.

This PFC deserves a Soldier's Medal, sure as hell qualifies to me... and I would say BSM w/V except for the fact that it was Texas.

What was it that the DUmp said about people and how guns wouldn't do any of them any good?

One of my problems is that MANY military bases only allow weapons to be transported from the main gate to the armory. The one in Minneapolis doesn't allow privately owned weapons at all while it is situated near one of the worst areas in Minneapolis. Essentially, this invalidates anyone with a permit to carry and restricts their 2nd Amendment rights while on base (even as a visitor).

Look at the Muslim that killed a number of people at the Salt Lake City Mall shooting. The ONLY person in the mall that had a gun was an off duty police officer (or sheriff, I forget). He was able to stop the carnage. While concealed carry is fairly dominant in Utah, the mall had a sign restricting the possession of weapons on the premises. Quite honestly, if anybody is eligible to carry, I believe they should be allowed to carry just about ANYWHERE.

We have great soldiers. This is a perfect example at a scary time, they stepped up to the plate and were soldiers, all of em. Remember to pray for them every day, please.

I just saw a news story saying General Casey, and the jug-eared Kenyan, are worried that this incident will cause a backlash against murderous savages.

Tell you what once the Muslims come out in huge numbers denouncing this then I may consider giving them a break until then they can all FOAD.
It's this attitude of trying to walk the fine line of not being a war against the whole religion that has brought us to this point. Bush irritated the hell out of me with the religion of peace nonsense although I understand why he did it. Its time to take the gloves off, no more mr nice guy.
We are at war with Islam whether we have the balls to admit it or not. If a sect of Christians was doing this I doubt anyone would try to make it not seem like a war against that sect of a religious group.

I'm angry can yall tell?  :-)
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

EXACTLY! They play the victim every chance they get! It's damn time they owned up for a religion that calls for our destruction. Do ya think they would shed a tear if the shooter was a follower of Christ?
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!
