This is why VA and NJ are so important to me...

Oh, wait...they're not. I don't live in either state. I don't care about their governors or their local politics. However, I do care about the TWO [sic] HOUSE SEATS we picked up . That is the news, all you stupid ****ing tv talking heads! Get it? I don't CARE that a terribly unpopular governor lost in NJ, or that VA voters did what they always do in off-year elections. That simply isn't news, so put away your boners and quit telling me this bullshit matters to anyone but YOU.

Brand new bonfire; by sheer chance and accident, franksolich bumped into Pedro Picasso this exact same moment.

I don't care about governor races in two states I don't live in but I do care about 2 house races in states I don't live in.  Please only report what I want to hear.   :mental:

I see Pedro is as bright this morning as he usually is.

SanFran Nan was saying the same thing.  Getting two more yes votes in the house was more important than two governorships. I disagree with that view, considering that both of those newly elected dems are in purple districts, they might be wary of voting to liberal. Then again, two more votes shouldn't mean much when she has a big majority in the house already.

OTOH, governors are statewide offices, while I doubt there is much chance that New Jersey will swing red in upcoming congressional elections, Virginia might, and so might other states where moderate/independent swing back and forth.

Don't care?  Bullsh*t.  It rocked the foundation of the Little Goons' world.

It gets real hard to convincingly proclaim a "progressive" tidal wave has occurred when democrats lose the New Jersey governorship.

What was the second congressional seat the Democrats picked up?

As far as I know, the Democrats picked up one, where the Democrat is opposed to the public option.

There was a congressional race out in California, in which the Democrat candidate won a seat held by a.....Democrat.

So what was the second seat the Democrats picked up?

Pedro Picasso's showing some senescence here.

2 states that went for Obama only a year ago have turned GOP.

That is the real story.

The Factor last night was showing statistics (I believe it was Dick Morris) of the '93 VA and NJ gubertatorial elections which went for the Republicans and it was eerie how similar the percentages were to Tuesday's elections.  Of course, they were a foreshadowing of the '94 Republican takeover of Congress . . . :cheersmate:

CA 10th District was already held by a Democratic, dipshit. It's not like that was a major coup. It's East Bay, TexasToast.

The bonfire's now had a few primitives at it--no important primitives, though--and Pedro Picasso is getting paranoid:

10. They've backed off the obvious vote stealing for the time being. You're right.

That is where the GOP has ALWAYS beat the Democrats -- patience. Those Diebold machines haven't gone anywhere, they're still sitting in warehouses all over the place, waiting to be called back into action. They can't steal the obvious ones. But they're willing to sit in the shadows and wait, whipping up the hate, getting the meme picture-perfect. Then suddenly we'll have a repeat of 2002, when winners lost and losers won big through miraculous shifts in voting patterns.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. We're being totally set up. Karl and the Gang didn't just slink of to a retirement home in Sarasota. They're busy. Very busy. And we should all be afraid.

Paranoid Pedro.

I'm gonna buy me one of them there Diebold machines and put it in the front yard. As much as the DUmmies bad mouth'em, I figure it'll have the same effect as a cross to a vampire on a DUmmie.

They always claim the Republicans are the ones that cheat, yet they offer no proof.  But there are plenty of verified instances of DimRats cheating in elections.

It's useless for me to ask this question, as the primitives never answer it.

How many corrupt big cites are run by Republican machines?

We know the answer, and since it is ZERO, they won't answer it.
