Obama Says U.S. 'Determined' to Combat Climate Change, Despite Senate Delay

President Obama promised the United Nations Tuesday that his administration is "determined" to do more to address the nation's climate change obligations.

But left out of the speech to the General Assembly special session on climate change was the political reality the president faces in trying to keep that promise.

While the House passed a sweeping climate change bill this year, it has stalled in the Senate as health care reform dominates the domestic agenda.

Yet Obama asserted Tuesday that, while the United States was slow to respond to the global warming threat, his administration is doing more to combat climate change than any in history.

The stinkiest quote I heard today, and I heard him say it, "the US has done more in the last 8 months to curb global warming than they have in the last 8 years!"

Tell me oh messiah, just what the **** have you done to curb global warming? Oh, I know what the **** it is! You destroyed the American economy!

I guess if people have no job, no money, no house, and no car, it definitly shrinks their carbon footprint! Guess that's one way to do it. Not something I would be bragging about, what a ****ing idiot!

It's the only thing he knows how to do.

I just am flabbergasted this asshole can claim something like this with a straight face! Hell he's giving Pinocchio a run for his money! I'm beginning to think him and Chavez are the same person, just flying back and forth for public appearances.

I expect my Pres to at least be a little honest, especially when he is representing us to the world body! For cryin' out loud, when was the last time this prick told the truth, when he was 5?

Nope.  He'd have been in Madrassa then, learning all about how Allah says it's okay to lie to the infidels.

Once again a Democrat displays a completely wrong sense of priorities.

Retreat from our allies.

Capitulate to the terrorists and leave our troops on the field without what they need.

But by GOD we're gonna throw every bit of blood and treasure we've got on some junk science bullsh*t known as global warming.

If he does, it'll dip us back into economic Hell.  Of course the way the bills are being written, the actual effect is delayed until after the  next Presidential elections, but that doesn't mean the stock market will wait that long to react to it.

I know one way to stop some of the global warming Zero shut your mouth and some of the emissions coming out of your mouth would not be so toxic to our nation

Exactly, what I was thinking.

How tough can it be to combat something that doesn't really exist and even if it does we can't control anyway?

TRANSLATION: @#$% representative government

Hi,

I fear he is right on target with his commie goals.  He, along with a lot of democrats and media, are totally ignoring the public and just pushing, pushing and pushing some more (to use Van Jones terms) to further their communist agenda of total government control.  I am not so sure that the strategy is not to just ignore the public and hope they finally wear down and give up trying to push back.

When in your lifetime have you seen almost 2 million people march on Washington and a president blatently brush it off and his spokesman say he does not care, those people are wrong?  Looks like we need to push and scream harder folks, particularly in congress.

I think some of the members in the house are getting it but the democrat senators do not care.  They got their new guy in MA and they plan to pass the health care legislation whether we like it or not.

Then they have the audacity to blame folks like Limbaugh and Beck for inciting the population....yet Harry Reid says the will use the nuclear option TOTALLY IGNORING POLL NUMBERS THAT SHOW CLOSE TO 60% OF THE PUBLIC OPPOSE THE HEALTH CARE BILL.

Seems to me it is not talk radio who inciting and inflaming the public Senator Reid.

regards,
