To put Saturday's Teabagathon in perspective...
Approximate number of people at DC teabag rally on 9/12/09 according to the DC Fire Department: 60,000 - 70,000

Absolute unique visitors to democraticunderground.com on 9/12/09 according to Google Analytics: 117,794

Just sayin'. <smilie>

Seems the 912 protest has them pretty rattled. I Love It.

I've heard people who went to Reagan's viewing at the Capitol in 2004 (which, BTW, was estimated at 800K), and the protest yesterday.  They said yesterday DWARFED 2004.

1.5-2 million.  Mark my words.

I figure the official number will be set at 1 million - big for sure, but not bigger than the Onauguration . Even C Span's video makes that case as they pan the camera over only 2/3rds of the crowd.

Link here. First 20 seconds.

The definitive answer to the number in the crowd for lurking DUmmies who failed math and have failed at life:

This is a graphic from USA Today showing how they counted the number of people at Zero's inauguration.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-01-19-crowd_N.htm

Then look at the time lapse video from yesterday (and to lurking dummies ~ no this video is not faked or edited).

You can guarantee that the same logic will not be applied for counting. I suspect there will be no released overhead photo of the Freedomworks protest, and as for the video, they claim its genuine, but not of the Tea Party. Something about the flag flying at half staff proves proves its from something else - though the decline to explain exactly what.

The thought that flying the flag at half staff in remembrance of the victims of 9/11 doesn't seem to cross their tiny little minds.

This is not the first DUmmy to compare attendance with the number of ONLINE HITS to some other more liberal thing. Pretty pathetic comparison. If going to DC was as easy and convenient as pulling up a web page, I would have been there myself.

Idjits. :whatever:
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

This is as stupid of a comparison as me saying that I have as many World Series titles as the Texas Rangers.

13. 70,000 attended an Obama campaign speech in Portland Oregon

Just a speech, not a national bus 'em in event.

And they weren't there to see the concert by the commie sympathizing band either. :sarcasm:

Free beer would have been enough to get me to an 0Bama rally, as long as they served for several hours before he spoke.  :-)

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I'm a little surprised EarlG would mention this at all.

Does he not realize that by mentioning it, he fails???  :whatever: :-)

A few months ago, Skins's island was averaging circa 220,000 unique visitors a day.

One wonders what's up with that.

Excellent point!  But then there's the source.  They are DUmmies and DUmmies lie and they cannot count.
