Saturday....what's up?
« on: September 05, 2009, 09:45:53 AM »
Back to summer time temps...highs in the mid 80 today and for the next few days at least.  Lots of sunshine, too.

Football game this afternoon, then a trip to Target for my young one to spend his birthday money (was going to do it last night, but it got too late).  Tacos and the fixins for dinner tonight.

Nothing else on the agenda for the rest of the weekend!  Woohoo!

A family feud in honor of my folk's 50th anniversary party!...... yes, some people can't help themselves to be asshats when it ISN'T all about them. I want to throttle some sibs right now.

The day looks beautiful, and I'm leaving momentarily to go hiking with some friends.  Sounds like we are going to a really beautiful area so it should be fun.

Watch football all day and make some subs and hot wings later.

Relaxing and not doing much at all today.  Need to buy a new floor jack since my other one is holding up the exhaust system on my Volvo so I can check out the wheel bearings on the rear end of the Datsun.  Not much else planned.

I'm making pepper jelly this evening while making a dent on the stack of books in my 'to read' pile.  I bought a cheap flat pack bookcase for my recipe books and I managed to put it together slightly wrong but no one will see and I can't face taking it apart again.

This is why we only see them at Thanksgiving and other special occasions, m'kay?

Sorry to hear about the family strife.  Happens to all of us, and it's not forever.

I took my nephew and niece to a festival during the day, had a great time doing that.  Last week it was an amusement park.  We have to end the summer right before they head back to school!

I also realized, that perhaps I'm officially old, at 28.  As I realized that I have just as much fun-perhaps more so, just taking my five year old niece on the 'Camp Snoopy' rides and 'junior' roller coasters; as I do going on the big ones.

The last few hours though have been painstakingly debating, shopping, and going back and forth in my mind about what new car to pick up.  Argh... I hate car shopping!  I'm torn between about five different vehicles... and they're all so shiny!

Today's Discovery Channel programming resembles a bad case of 80's movie sequel-itis...
