:whatever:

Thank you for a classic example of bigotry.

Hardly bigotry.

In a political sense this picture is extremely damaging and not something he should have partaken in during a time of war.

Last I heard, we where not a war with Kenya.

Read the article your source wrote.   Islam rules Somalia.  Dressing in Somalia elder wear is not wise, no matter what way you slice it.

He was wearing the clothing of Kenyan's who where ethnically Somali.  He was visiting a Kenyan village that our troops where helping to rebuild after being destroyed by a flood.

In the world of politics perception is reality.   His intent means little to nothing.  He is wearing the garb of a Somali Sunni Muslim during a time of war.   That is damaging.

Only to those who are ignorant.

Thanks for the link Dixie, though it doesn't really explain why he was dressed in Somali gear when he was visiting Kenya except that presumably being a border area there would have been some ethnic Somalis in the area. It is not the usual sort of donning a head covering to enter a temple or mosque as a mark of respect which most visiting politicians do.

Thank you for a classic example of bigotry.

"He's wearing clothes that Muslims wear!  That means he's supporting Islam!  And we all know that every Muslim is a terrorist!"

Well, the latter part is pretty much true.
