Monday....
« on: August 03, 2009, 08:58:09 AM »
Today one of my favorite people in the world turns 21.  My niece.  She's a GREAT kid!

Not sure what I have planned for today...did about 900 loads of laundry yesterday...got it all folded and put away, too.  Kids all cleaned drawers and closets, so there was extra stuff, but at least stuff is clean now!

My man-cub wants me to paint his room today...not sure if I want to tackle that solo or not, or if I want to just wait 'til Saturday and let Mr Flame do it.  It's only one wall that is getting painted.

Need to think of something for dinner tonight....maybe fajitas?   Have baseball and football tonight, so it has to be something fast, or crock-pot-able.

What does your day look like?

I planned on working out this morning before work, but decided to sit and enjoy my coffee instead  :thatsright:  I WILL work out tonight.  It is no longer negotiable :-p

I have plenty of work to keep me busy at work, and enough of an audio book to listen to to keep me entertained.  I spent the weekend with my grandparents, so it is hard to believe that it is already Monday.

At work, as usual. A lotta folks in the plant are on PTO. It's tote Hose around here.

Thunderstorms are pouring rain right now making a lot of noise on the roof. Belle, our golden retriever, is assuredly cowering under my desk at home. She's terrified of thunderstorms.

Day Six of Lexi's spay recovery. Lexi is a rottie mix that we inherited when she and her pack appeared on our property 3 weeks ago. Keeping that puppy down from jumping and running around has been difficult, but not impossible.

Have already completed 2 reports this morning...

Didn't sleep well last night...and I'm hoping to find time for a nipper-nap....

Monday, and the other two techs are on vacation.  Whee.  12 hour days most of this week.

Also a new "fatigue rule" going into effect today.  This oughta be a real hoot.

Just another poopy Monday here. Weekends are just darn short! Can I have a do-over?
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Five and one-half hours of yard work each weekend tend to cut mine short.  :banghead:

Pfffpppt on you then!!!

Sure, I only work 3 days a week, but they are 12 hour days, and I have had to work as many as 36 hours straight before.

Yeah, that does stink. Been there done that. I hated 12's. Especially when the person you relieved was the one who relieved you. I was always on time but they never were.

I'm the person that relieves me on jobs that have to get done ASAP, which is why I sometime work the long hours.

Mondays are okay because I have Tuesday off.  It's about time I had a day off.

Formatting a new laptop and doing the usual weekend cleaning and laundry.  Got to go work on the car later (I think one of my wheel bearings might be going out.  My car sounds like somebody stepped on a duck).
