Four men arrested over plot to bomb New York synagogue and shoot down planes

“The defendants wanted to engage in terrorist attacks. They selected targets and sought the weapons necessary to carry out their plans,” Lev Dassin, acting US attorney for the Southern District of New York, said in a statement.

The four men, named by police as James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen, were arrested after buying inactive missiles and inert explosives in a sting operation run by the FBI and other government agencies.


They are accused of planning to detonate explosives near a synagogue in the Riverdale section of New York’s Bronx borough and to shoot down planes located at New York’s Air National Guard base at Stewart airport in Newburgh, New York some 70 miles north of New York City.

All four are charged with one count of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction within the United States, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, and one count of conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles, which also carries a maximum penalty of life in prison. ...

Ok, here we have Muslims intentionally targeting Jews. Yet, I have not seen nor heard ANY mention of a "hate crime", which, in my mind, this most definitely falls under the mantle of a "hate crime".

And yet Obama and Cheney went nearly head-to-head over the policy differences between the previous administration and the current one on how to deal with terrorism.

Obama.  Got.  PWNED.

It's amazing watching the talking heads try to spin it.  I'm watching FNC and Beckel's head looks like it's about to explode--then again, it usually does, but still....

Like it or not, Obama is bound and determined to get the islamofascists into the USA. So, get here they will. Would you rather have them preaching hate at the Mosque down the street, or doing time in a SUPERMAX segragated from the General Pop.?

Not one word from Obama on this during that dreadful speech.  My God, how he does drone on and on and on.  All the while doing that tennis match thing with his stupid head.  For the life of me, I can't understand why he's considered such a fantastic communicator and speech-giver.  The run-on sentences, jumping all over the place.  It would get an F in a high school public speaking class. 

Kudos and H5's to the people who foiled this plot.  The prez should be saying that, not me.

The linked article from the OP never mentions the 4 men were Muslim.  I look at the NYT's article on the incident yesterday and they buried that information until the 9th paragraph.  Like this article, the CNN article I read didn't mention they were Muslim at all.

That tennis match thing is the TOTUS , it has two screens, and he alternates reading and repeating as the TOTUS requires of him. I'm told that this man is very smart, but try as I might, I just don't see "very smart". I see clever, but not very smart.

Robert, aka Salaam, is busy trying to sell the masses on just how wonderful he and his religion are.

He really does try to be outraged at the shit that outrages most of us (this particular terrorist attempt as well), and I think in practice he is.

Unbelievable indeed.  To an outside observer it would appear he converted in anticipation of a Muslim takeover of the country and wanted to hedge his bets.
