Congress is supposed to write the laws, right?

Congress is supposed to write the laws, right?
Well, I've got a few ideas:

Well, how about a law making it illegal for ANYTHING to be named for a living member of Congress?
West Virginians would have to spend a fortune on new signage...

How about a law requiring Congress to search existing law before enacting new legislation and denying Congress the ability to write new laws against things already illegal?

How about a law requiring that Congress seek out and remove redundancies in the US government?
There goes ¾ of Congressional spending...

How about a law doubling the pay for members of Congress, but, requiring they fund any staffers out of THEIR OWN pockets?
That ought to ease up parking in D.C....
How about a law requiring members of Congress to spend AT LEAST one WEEK per month in their districts/States?
Thus, limiting the amount of time they have to cause mischief in D.C.
How about a law making it illegal for spouses/families of Members of Congress to travel at government expense or to accompany Members of Congress on "Fact Finding Missions"
I kinda doubt Chelsea Clinton's contribution on her mother's trip to Africa in the nineties...

How about a law requiring a simplification of the tax code?
Accountants and others who prepare taxes can get other jobs
How about TERM LIMITS for ALL?
If limiting the Presidency to eight years (two terms) is just and right, why allow members of Congress to spend DECADES in office?
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

A friend of mine sent me a slideshow that Xs off all days Congress is not in session as it goes through the various reasons, including time allowed for exactly this purpose.  Turns out even when "In session" there is only about six days a month they are actually expected to be present in DC.
