So, am I not only an

alcoholic, I have mental health issues.
I have tried the AA meetings, in good faith but cannot find a shrink that will work with me monetarily. I have great insurance, I just cannot afford the co-pays; and these docs don't want the $280 an hour my insurance pays, they want the whole $295.

There are those of you who have reached out to me before and I appreciate it. I guess I am just weak and choose to take the easy way out

I'm just $15 away from being sane!

I'm not sure if there could possibly be a better example of someone who is LESS committed to their own health. Insurance would pay 95% of the hourly rate for a shrink (and trust me, that's an expensive shrink), and this alcoholic DUmbass can't scrape $15 together?

This post means that a mentally ill alcoholic can't scrape together $15 an hour for their own wellbeing if they had no insurance and the therapist offered care at $15/hr.

      Mind-frickin-boggling.

So where's the other $15 come from? Well, they're pissing and moaning about it online instead of getting a job, drinking less, or begging for it on the street. What do you think this means about their desire for universal healthcare? Exactly.

2. hello elleng
i am in the quad cities area, on the illinois side.  thanks for responding.

Oh shit.

I lived there for almost 40 years....there is lots of help available if she really wanted it....what a liar. The doctors are not that expensive either, I'm sure some are, but not all of them....maybe she does not know where to look?

Plus if her insurance is that good, he should also earn a good wage....but of course, she might be drinking up the pay check.

At least she admits he has a problem, and I do honestly pray that she gets the help she needs. DUmmie or no DUmmie, this is still something I am sensitive to.

6. Thank you all so very much,
and yes, Droopy, I get your drift  Another reason, no excuse, but a true reason, is I have isolated myself so much since I left my kids, friends, husband, et al of 30 years, 8 years ago. I call it my menopausal moment. Forgiveness of self is what I need first and foremost, along with a good mental health doc, a sponsor, and AA.

 You folks rock!

It's sad that she is crying out for help, where no one would ever help her, even if they lived next door.

I call BS.  :bs:

This is just an attention whore.

(hey DUmmie, it's called a negotiated payment, I deal with them all the time)
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

This is what you call presenting your DUmp bona fides.
