If it were me, and someone said "Man, you are lucky!"

I would have replied with something like:

"Lucky? Lucky??? There are only two cities in the world that have ever been nuked, and I was in f*cking BOTH OF THEM WHEN THEY WERE!"

Sounds like a twilght zone episode.

Actually, there was a twilight zone episode like that, I think.  the titanic picks up a lifeboat from the Marie Celeste, and the last scene is the captian of the Luisitania picking up a lifeboat from the Titanic.

But you notice, the guy is 93 now.  He must not have got that badly damaged by it.
