Lamest billboard ever
« on: March 12, 2009, 05:16:35 PM »

Quote
I said last week that Democrat donors ought to question whether the DNC was using its money wisely by indugling in an anti-Rush Limbaugh billboard.

See, I told you so. The Christian Science Monitor skewers the results:

New Limbaugh billboard slogan announced - creativity was not considered

Setting a world record today for beating a dead horse, the Democratic National Committee will announce they’ve selected an anti-Rush Limbaugh slogan to be placed on a billboard in the radio host’s hometown.

I guess it really is lame, especially as an attack on Rush.  The first things it makes me think of is the rush to pass the porkulous bill and the omnibus spending bill.

A photo of the billboard I saw earlier today (at DU, I think) had Rush's face on an angle with an extra long cigar sticking into the text.  Rush's name was in red.  I wonder what that's all about?  Is there more than one and I've missed it?

Nonetheless, this is the most boneheaded, childlike, useless, and telling thing the left has ever decided to do to embarrass themselves.  Who the hell have they impressed?  I know Rush Limbaugh doesn't give a damn.

The EIB could and can afford a whole slew of billboards.  I wish, just this once, Rush would get down and wriggle in the mud with the idiots.

What is interesting is that the DNC is seriously spending time and money on THIS!  Let's not strengthen our non-platform.  Let's not try to figure out ways to keep the democrats that are elected in office.  Let's focus on a RADIO SHOW HOST and his conservative opinions.  Yeah, because THAT shows UNITY and that shows...eh f**** it.  This is so damned predictable.  This is the BEST that Rham, James, and Hussien could come up with?   :lmao:

The winning choice 'Rush is a big fat old poopy head' wouldn't fit on the billboard.  :lmao:

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

But Americans did vote for a rush to failure.  The deficit has more then doubled in the first two months of office.  He certaily rushed to fail.

Better to spend money on billboards that make them look like even bigger idiots than buying more votes from dead people in Chicago.   :uhsure:

I guess it's their own little stimulus plan for the people who own the billboards, now that the campaign is over and all the normal customers are broke.

The more of their hard-begged cash they waste on stupid shit, the better.

They may not have voted for a RUSH to Failure...BUT that is what we are getting.

Hey everyone! It's Amanda! I was pretty active at mt.org (as TGRlvr61502) before the fateful election and was invited over by Kev, but lost the link and had forgotten about this place until I got the email about the big mod dilemma. Glad to be back!
