(02-11) 20:08 PST SPEAKE, Ala. (AP) --A woman used her telephone to chase off an intruder who was armed with a Taser when he entered her home. Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said the woman, whose name was not released but who was described as a grandmother, was not seriously injured in the home invasion around 8 p.m. Saturday.He said that when the woman noticed the porch light not working, she opened the door to check on it and the man forced his way inside. Mitchell said the man tried to use the Taser as the woman resisted."She thinks she was hit," he told The Decatur Daily in a story Monday. "Why it didn't put her down, we don't know. Then she used the telephone as a weapon and fought back. The man ran off."
