meuniermr (198 posts) Fri Jan-30-09 12:56 AMOriginal message Conspiracy theorists proven right about FEMA camp plans http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=125x232734This bill if passed into law will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is an incredibly disturbing piece of legislation. It appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations? This legislation goes beyond the REX 84 (emergency immigration control) camps that came up in the Iran-Contra hearings. For anyone that thinks this is BS, all I have to say is read the linked bill tracker, it may be closer to lock and load time then we think.http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-... Besides, I don't give a flying **** if the press release is thirty years old. Learn some history and you'd be amazed at how much of today's mess was started in the past.Ever hear of the NAZIs? Got some news for you: They're still around.Almost forgot. Here's your link:Rule by fear or rule by law?Have a nice day.

No, the last time we did something like this was to deal with Vietnam aftermath We needed to use quite a few bases as processing centers for Vietnamese refugees who had worked for us during the war.Same deal will happen with Iraq. Tens of thousands of Iraqis have been working for us, and are going to need a place to go.We have never fought a foreign war without a significant immigrant influx when we were done.
When did we have a war with mexico that the donks then lost for us?

"Then I realized; those are our prison camps now."[/paraphrase]BTW - Halliburton doesn't do construction work. We cement well casings, fracure formations, wireline etc. The construction side was KBR but they sold that years ago.@#$^ing idiots
Reckon what they'll "lock and load"?
Batteries in their butt-plug vibrators.
Those were Democrats interring Japanese and Germans
Actually, the Democrats were interning them...it's generally us Repubs that prefer to inter our enemies.
