Golden Lab Leads To Mail Ban At Lodi House

LODI, Calif. (CBS13) ―
CBS13.com Mug Shot Gallery When NOT To Hyphenate Your Name (Mature Content) Celebs Who Lean To The Right Mail delivery has been permanently halted at a Lodi home because the owner lets his Golden Labrador dog roam in front of his house.

Jack Casey was told by his local postmaster that he will no longer have mail sent to his house because of Nick, a Golden Lab. Casey says Nick is harmless, and is even certified to visit people in hospitals as a form of therapy.

"The fact that they're treating him that way, it kinda hurts," Casey said. "He's like a child. It's like saying my child is dangerous."

Casey says his mail was stopped last month without warning. His wife was waiting for medication to come in at the time, and Casey says he went to the post office to find out why they had stopped delivering.

"The mentioned that the carrier actually came across the street when they were doing their route, saw that Nick was out with my wife, and didn't deliver to the entire block," Casey said.

What a vicious looking dog. I do not blame the postal carrier one bit.  :sarcasm:

It's an age old axiom that pussies have been known to fear dogs.

My post-lady leaves dogs biscuits in the mailbox on the odd day the bassetts are out front.

Vicious, flesh-rending man killer.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Afraid of being licked to death? All the sissy carrier has to do is throw a stick, the dog is a retriever for Pete's sake.

Beautiful dog! I have 2 bassets. They are the celebs at the local Home Depot. We let everyone bring their dogs into the store here. It's the highlite of everyone's day when I bring the Bassets. I always take Dixie too of course! She's one of theose vicious Golden Labs!

I'll have to upload some pics, they are the apples of my eye since my kids are all grown and out on their own. I have 5 grandkids but only see them a couple times a month. I need the pups to stay sane in this horrible Big Zero economy!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

Point of order, Mr. Chairman.

Labrador retrievers of a yellow color are called, oddly enough, yellow labs.

The only retriever specifically called "golden" is the golden retriever.

It's a small point, but hey, we've got a golden and she truly is.  :-)

I am a letter carrier. Yes, it is with great dismay that I admit I am a union member. There is also a carrier in my office that is just as *****fied as the one in the article. But, lets keep in mind, some people in general, not just letter carriers, are pussies. I have an all corporate route and do not deal with dogs. On the rare occasion that I do, I usually stop to pet the them.

Ok, don't get me wrong, I like Labs, but the yellow variety are dumb as stumps.

Yeah, the Lab has that smiling happy but stupid dog look. It does make you want to smile back. Why on earth would anyone fear that dog?

I want y'all to know that it's just not postal workers. We had a pizza delivered last week and the driver wouldn't come up to the house because of the feral dog we call "whitey". Whitey is a white Lab. She barks a lot, but when confronted, she'll tuck her tail and run off to safety. Another incident that happened many years ago was that I was working cable TV in a rural area. A Dakota County deputy and I were  talking and a huge St Bernard come strutting over to us. (Think Cujo) The deputy had his hand on his service weapon. I just hollered at the dog and told the dog to get back home. The dog rambled off towards his yard.  :rotf: :rotf:

I had a mixed German shepherd that I got after my parents divorced. My dad had gotten her from a shelter just before she was to be put down. She would not let my mom get out of her car unless I was outside. Anyone else, no problem.
